Religion has been turn into a shelter for social engineering... and control for most...over the last 50 years.
Just being a rhyme or reason for justification of actions or beliefs.
Though the Prior to 1960's you will find it to be the fiber of civilized reasoning , structure and civilized principles. When some moderation is found. Little difference between religion A,B or C
In short, socialist took over schools, churches and government in the 60's to engineer social change.

You could say ... KJV did that along with RCC and Rome's expulsions from UK 100's of years ago. RCC didn't like that very well. RCC is hell bent on being that 1 religion again as everyone else is heretics to the Church of Rome.
