MATAWAN, N.J., Oct. 10, 2017 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- iCIMS, Inc ., a leading provider of cloud-based talent acquisition solutions , won the coveted Brandon Hall Group silver award for excellence in the Best New Hire Onboarding Program category.
The iCIMS talent development department launched a 90-day company-wide assimilation initiative, in an effort to avoid the “fire hose” analogy of overwhelming new hires. The revamped program is complete with a passport system, which includes various learning checkpoints along the way with various teams and stakeholders in the business.
“The right talent is the most important factor to successful business,” said iCIMS vice president of talent, Irene DeNigris. “Knowing that the first 90 days of employment are the most integral to a new hire’s success, we limit information by breaking our onboarding down into digestible sessions. At iCIMS, we use our technology, iCIMS Onboard , along with a passport themed program to seamlessly onboard all new hires into the organization who will lead our business through the next phase of growth.”
According to a study by Talent Board , when digital onboarding is used in the hiring stage, new employees are more productive in their first few weeks of work. iCIMS Onboard allows companies to supply new hires with resources and objectives, while reducing paperwork and improving productivity for new hires and recruiters.
iCIMS leverages gamification for new hires through participation in a program called, the passport challenge. As new hires attend training sessions, they can have their passport stamped. DeNigris explains, “Aligned to our execution framework each passport checkpoint is categorized as one of these five offerings: strategy, people, process, systems or metrics. The goal is to set our new hires up for success by helping them become fully assimilated into the company and culture here at iCIMS.”
To gauge the success of the revamped onboarding program, iCIMS surveyed employees after their first 90 days and found 99 percent of new hires were highly satisfied or satisfied with the onboarding process and 100 percent would recommend the company as a great place to work.
“Excellence Award winners symbolize the power and impact that Human Capital Management practices can have on a business or on any organization,” said Rachel Cooke, chief operating officer of Brandon Hall Group and head of the awards program. “Many organizations can have great HCM initiatives, but the standard of excellence only applies for organizations whose HCM practices truly benefit the business. That’s what the Excellence Awards program stands for, and that is what Brandon Hall Group stands for.”
The award entries were evaluated by a panel of veteran, independent senior industry experts, Brandon Hall Group analysts and executives based on the following criteria: fit the need, design of the program, functionality, innovation, and overall measurable benefits. iCIMS was also recognized for a sixth consecutive year as one of the Best Place to Work in New Jersey.
