IT – Q-Port – REMINDER: Q-Port Production onboarding (33/17)

This IT-Notice contains important information regarding the migration from Clearing Workstation 2 (CW2) to Q-Port, and is directed to IT staff, administrators of the CW2 application as well as the end users.

Please note that this notification concerns the migration from Clearing Workstation 2 (CW2) application to Q-Port only. A separate announcement regarding Clearing Workstation 1 (CW1) will be published shortly.  

As previously communicated , Nasdaq is in the process of replacing Clearing Workstation 2 (CW2) with Q-Port, a next generation user interface. Onboarding to Q-Port Production is currently ongoing and will end on 27 th of October, 2017 . Until this date both CW2 and Q-Port will be available and users are able to run both applications in parallel and migrate at their convenience.

A consolidation period will follow from 30 th of October until 17 th of November, during which users are advised to use Q-Port as a primary clearing system, while keeping CW2 as a fall-back clearing system only.

How to get access to Q-Port Test?

It is highly recommended to test the Q-Port application in EXT1 or EXT4 Test environment before ordering the Production access. In order to get access to EXT1/EXT4 Test environment, please send an e-mail to Member Services . All test users need to get their source IP whitelisted so please provide this information when ordering the access.

How to get access to Q-Port Production?

In order to get access to Q-Port Production environment, please request for New Clearing Access via Member Portal (recommended option). If you don’t have access to Member Portal yet, you can fill in the Clearing Access Form for Derivatives or Commodities and send it to Member Services . Information to Internet users: Users accessing Q-Port via internet will need to use two-factor authentication (2FA). When the new Q-Port account has been ordered and activated, internet users will receive an e-mail with instructions on how to enroll to the new 2FA solution. 2FA registration is a one-time procedure and once completed it will be possible to log in to Q-Port Production. More information regarding 2FA enrollment is provided in 2FA Installation Guide .

Information to Extranet users: Nasdaq Extranet users need to get their source IP whitelisted so please provide this information when ordering the access. When the Q-Port account has been activated, user accessing via Nasdaq Extranet will receive an e-mail containing the new credentials to be used.

19 th June – 27 th October Q-Port Production onboarding period. Both Q-Port and CW2 available in parallel
27 th October Onboarding to Q-Port Production ends
30 th October – 17 th November Consolidation period. Both Q-Port and CW2 available in parallel, CW2 only to be used as a fall-back clearing system
20 th November Genium INET November Release go-live. CW2 decommissioned
