Sweeping generalization from someone who's political learning kept those people out of desegregated schools for as long as possible.
You sell them short with your greenmail bullshit. I think it's simply a case of them believing what they see and hear from conservative politicians. They have sound reasons to think the GOP sucks and that it harbors most of the bigots and courts the bigoted voters.
The media reports what is going on in society. You're in denial if you think there is no divide to be reported, or if you don't see that the right has done more than the left to create the divide.
