A couple of lessons that we all know, but good to refresh once in a while:
1. Not everyone has the same goals, aspiration, risk tolerance, etc. Investing is a "personal experience." Boards are a good place to find information and insights, but that information should be tempered by your own personal situation/values/goals/personality, etc.
2. Don't trust 100% what anyone says on a board. There are people I have a lot of faith in on this and the other board, but only a very few.
3. It's fine to be a poster and change your "strategy" mid-stream, but be aware that your credibility could take a serious "hit."
4. Every person is "out for their own personal gain" . . . sure, we want to see others succeed, but when it comes right down to it, "it's all about me!"
