The Navigator Company will participate in the CF&B European Large and Mid Cap Event, on October 5th 2017, in Paris, attending its CEO, Diogo da Silveira and its Head of Investor Relations, Joana Appleton.
The Navigator Company (formerly Portucel Soporcel Group) is the leading European manufacturer of printing and writing paper, and is a vertically integrated producer of forest, pulp and energy. The Company has 120,000 hectares of forest under management, and has its own forest certified under the FSC ® and PEFC(TM) systems. Generating more than 50% of biomass energy produced in Portugal, the Group accounts for almost 5% of all electricity produced in the country. The Group has recently entered the tissue business and is currently developing a greenfield project that will position the Company as one of the most competitive tissue producers in Iberia. With an annual turnover of over € 1.6 billion, the Navigator Company sells its products to 130 different countries, with its main paper markets being Europe (69%), North America (9%) and Africa (9%). Pursuing a strategy of innovation, development of own paper brands and premium products, the Company has currently a 20% market share in Western Europe for uncoated woodfree paper and a 50% market share in premium products.
