Press release is entirely a different kettle of fish altogether because the company is not releasing PR every single day whereas Alan is bombarding the board with his pointless numbers on daily basis.
Secondly, by copying and pasting PR on the board, it actually encourages useful discussion among posters on the content of the PR and help refresh the mind of investors, whereas what is there to discuss on the short numbers? What conclusion to be made if there's a "30% of the volume is short"? What can we mere "mortals" do about it? Nothing, hence it's a pure waste of space and time.
