If SHS knew anything about background check loopholes at gun shows as well as a on the terrorist watch list, not to mention the discrepancy in background checks from State to State, she wouldn't spoutt such nonsense.

There is NEVER a good time to talk about sensible gun regulation and background checks.
Alone among the constitutional amendments is the rigidity that is applied to the 2nd amendment.
One would think there would be the equivalent to the 'you can't yell fire in a crowded theater' restriction for the 2nd amendment..
