'Like a War Scene': Firefighter Describes Las Vegas Massacre

At least 50 people are dead and more than 200 others are injured after a gunman opened fire on an outdoor concert in Las Vegas.
The suspect, who was killed, was identified as 64-year-old Stephen Paddock, a local resident.
Robert Hayes, a firefighter with the Los Angeles Fire Department, was attending the Route 91 Harvest Festival with his wife and several friends when Paddock opened fire from a room on the 32nd floor of the Mandalay Bay Hotel and Casino.
Hayes told Fox News' Adam Housley that they were listening to country music star Jason Aldean perform when they heard gunshots.
"Honestly, at the start, we all thought it was probably an electronic thing, a malfunction, feedback or whatnot," he said. "And then all of a sudden, people started dropping by the stage area and up front by us."
He said he helped his wife and four friends evacuate and take shelter at a nearby hotel, and then he returned with SWAT officers.
He said it was "like a war scene," and he personally pronounced at least 15 to 20 victims dead.
"I think with 30,000 people in the arena area, it was kind of like shooting goldfish, unfortunately," Hayes said. "It's a sad day."
