USHCC Announces Toyota as Corporate Chair of 2017 National Convention

Dallas, TX, Sept. 30, 2017 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- The United States Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (USHCC) is proud to announce Toyota—the global automotive manufacturer—as Corporate Chair for the annual National Convention held from October 1-3 in Dallas, Texas, at the Omni Hotel.

The Corporate Chair is the presenting sponsor of the National Convention, and helps the USHCC convene the country's largest networking venue for Hispanic-owned business and Fortune 1000 corporations. As a long-time partner, Toyota is recognized for its partnership with the largest minority group in the United States, providing financial services accessibility, as well as community based programs to equip the rising business leaders.

“The USHCC is excited to have Toyota, a true champion of American small business, as our Corporate Chair,” said USHCC President & CEO, Javier Palomarez. “As a company that invests heavily in developing small and diverse businesses into strategic partners, Toyota embodies the healthy and profitable approach to building a 21st Century supply chain. Toyota’s commitment to quality, safety, innovation, and the overall well-being of our planet is instrumental in driving the future of American business and supporting communities across the nation.”

The Corporate Chair is represented throughout the National Convention as a strong, reliable, and prolific supporter of the Hispanic business community. The Corporate Chair is also at the epicenter of the National Convention’s multiple events, working with the USHCC Staff, Hispanic vendors, local chambers, and corporate buyers for opportunities to establish fruitful partnerships.

“For the past 25 years, Toyota has worked with USHCC to help create stronger and more resilient communities by supporting the growth of small business throughout the country,” commented Adrienne Trimble, general manager, diversity & inclusion at Toyota. “We are proud to serve as Corporate Chair of this year’s convention to continue our dedication to diverse suppliers and the Hispanic business community.”

In addition, Toyota Financial Services USA President & CEO, Mike Groff, will share insights from his more than 40 years of experience in automotive financing, credit administration and customer service as a panelist during our cornerstone event – the CEO Panel Series.

Toyota will also showcase its national inspirational campaign for the Hispanic community, Juntos Somos Imparables , or “Together We Are Unstoppable,” which aims to both salute and motivate Latino achievement. The centerpiece of the campaign is an experiential art installation consisting of a wall of license plates featuring personal values important to the Hispanic community, such as “courage” and “perseverance.”

Visitors to Toyota’s booth will be invited to select a value they embody and write the name of the person who most instilled that value in them on a license plate, to replace the one on the wall. The result will be a collective mural of those who have inspired the Hispanic community. Attendees will be encouraged to share their inspirational story in the Toyota booth and to post their experiences on social media under the hashtags #SomosImparables and #VayamosJuntos.
