The reason they haven't is that they don't have the technical expertise (or desire for that matter) to do it.
That' s not what content delivery companies focus on.
They're too big and too bureaucratic to innovate quickly even if they did and they know it.
I've been with enough big and small company to understand how it works.
The technology for economical delivery of 4K and HDR is not mature, It uses too much bandwidth.
There is barely a standard at this point...and it's still changing.
There is not enough profit margin yet for the "big boys" to heavily invest in 4k and HDR.
Small, companies like NTEK are the one's that develop the technology for the "big boys" to make economical 4K/HDR delivery possible.
No doubt, there are other companies out there pursuing the low delivery cost goal.
But NTEK has been in the game long enough, longer than most, to be one of the front line innovators.
Let other companies compete. It's the name of the game.
You talk about competition being some kind of death knell for NTEK .
Competition drives innovation.
Being first to the market with a product does not guarantee success.
Getting to market in a timely manner with a quality product pretty much does.
Any competitor to NTEK had better be able to do that.
NTEK is acting exactly like how a public company acts.
They are trying to move beyond the stereotypical OTC company.
They minimize the fluff and post worthwhile news when it justifies the expense to do so.
Most OTC companies have to kiss shareholders asses, put up with their insecurities and post fluff to get you to buy shares to support their growth.
Due to the pending financing situation, NTEK doesn't have to do that right now.
Saves energy and takes one more variable out of the equation, allowing them to focus on their technical strengths.
If I had insecure shareholders spitting venom and trying to tell me how to manage my business when they have no idea of the operational aspects involved to be successful ...constantly....I would probably tune out the noise to put ultimate focus on making what I'm working on successful......the same way I would tune out a basher...because the song sounds the same after awhile, be it for different reasons.
Sorry this is frustrating, but that's the game right now until the company is ready to execute their plan.
I'm fairly sure nothing is really going to change that
