SUNYN...Glad you & yours made out alright. Sounds like a harrowing experience none-the-less. Don't know if you're one of the many still without power...if you have or plan on getting a solar system to be somewhat independent , you might want to take this article under advisement:
http://inhabitat.com/florida-residents-prohib...cane-irma/ Seems like the problem spelled-out in this article could be remedied by incorporating an automatic disconnect switch to the grid when the grid fails....providing that doesn't cause other problems in less urgent situations[?]. At any rate...we're glad you guys weathered the storm. Hopefully any remaining hurricanes this season will pass you by
