PHILADELPHIA, Sept. 27, 2017 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Dr. Steven Altschuler, a renowned physician-leader who as chief executive officer of Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia led the institution’s transformation into a world leader in pediatric healthcare, has joined Diversified Search in the role of Senior Advisor. In this role, Dr. Altschuler will specialize in work in academic medicine within Diversified’s Healthcare Services Practice, providing insights into client challenges and candidate fit for CEO, Dean, and Department Chair roles, as well as for senior-level positions in the life sciences area.
The Healthcare Services Practice is the largest at Diversified Search, one of the top-ten executive search firms in the nation. Founded in 1974, it is headquartered in Philadelphia.
“We are so gratified to have someone of Steve Altschuler’s caliber and deep experience on our team at Diversified, as we continue to identify and place leaders at some of the most prestigious medical institutions in the nation,” said Judith M. von Seldeneck, the firm’s founder and chairman. “Having known Steve personally for years, I cannot think of anyone who better represents the high quality and professionalism of our Healthcare Services Practice, and I am delighted to welcome him into the Diversified family.”
Dr. Altschuler, 63, is a globally renowned physician, researcher, entrepreneur, and academic medicine CEO who was most recently the Executive Vice President for Health Affairs at the University of Miami, and CEO of UHealth, the University of Miami health system.
