If you want to make a political point, find some other way to do it. Treating our national symbols with contempt is never appropriate, and those that have done so should be utterly ashamed of themselves.
RW hysteria and hyperbole. No contempt was shown. The principles behind the flag and the anthem not only embody dissent and protest, they demand it.
Government in America does not to dictate that others find 'some other way to protest' because that 'goalpost'...pun intended.... will ALWAYS be moved by those made uncomfortable by protest.
Because of that even corporations are very circumspect toward their employees in respect to protests by those employees against government. May be just a business decision, but it's their's to make
Even flag burring is protected 'expression', so decided by the SCOTUS for decades.
And no, flags are not being burned.
Remember this guy, so often lionized by many of you righties? Conveniently NOT, on this issue, is my guess. LOL!

Trump’s Favorite Supreme Court Justice Said ‘Tyrants’ Try To Suppress Flag Protests
Remember the First Amendment?
What Trump seems to be ignoring is that part of what the “great American Flag” represents is the First Amendment’s protection of free speech. It’s a point that his favorite Supreme Court justice, the late Antonin Scalia ― known as one of the most conservative voices on the court ― understood.

“If I were king, I would not allow people to go around burning the American flag,” Scalia told CNN in 2012. “However, we have a First Amendment, which says that the right of free speech shall not be abridged ― and it is addressed in particular to speech critical of the government. That was the main kind of speech that tyrants would seek to suppress.”
In both 1989 and 1990, the Supreme Court upheld the right to burn the American flag in protest. Scalia’s comments, and the Supreme Court cases, specifically addressed whether the government ― rather than private enterprises ― can outlaw flag protests. Trump received almost no support from NFL coaches and owners over the weekend.
The athletes who have been targeted by Trump haven’t burned the flag; they have silently taken a knee or sat out participating in the national anthem as a way to address racial discrimination and police brutality. Then-San Fransisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick started the protests last year.
Seriously nutters, go directly to the 'Nerve Lost and Found' and see if you can retrieve yours. They have the items catalogued by the date they were turned in, so just get them in the ball park...pun intended again...so you can get yours back.
