The companies are members of the LoRa Alliance ™, an open, non-profit association that promotes the LoRaWAN™ protocol as the leading open global standard for secure, carrier-grade IoT LPWAN connectivity.

Tata Communications and HPE will demonstrate their Command Center using the LoRaWAN protocol . The Command Center leverages HPE’s Universal IoT (UIoT) Platform to help connect devices, applications and other IoT solutions over Tata Communications and HPE’s LoRaWAN network. The HPE Universal IoT Platform helps transform cities to be more efficient, agile and resilient to improve quality of life, drive economic growth and create sustainable communities. The LoRaWAN network will be one of the dedicated networks for connected devices in India enabling cost effective, innovative approaches towards applications for the betterment of society. The LoRaWAN network is expected to expand to 60 cities by the end of 2017 and the rest of India by December 2018.
