Go right ahead, I'm going to continue to watch and to manage my FF teams.
Missing from this 'over-ripe' take on the matter is the following:
Is there any evidence that any NFL owner has issued an explicit directive to coaches and team members to cease and desist on all kneeling, hands on shoulders and hand-holding in support of a protest on the field?
No, there isn't. Now you're in the position of imposing YOUR political leanings on private companies. (Only the GB Packers have stockholders, and so far there has been no Packer stockholder 'uprising'.)
Clearly a very conservative, group of owners, as a whole, have made business decisions, that they are entitled to make, NOT to restrict their employees from expressing an opinion on a matter they feel VERY strongly about.
Lastly, missing from the entire brouhaha is a recognition from many conservatives that the right to protest is enshrined in an Amendment to a Constitution that ALL of the military has sworn an oath to preserve, protect and defend.
I don't LIKE flag burning, but I like even less restricting the right of expression on behalf of causes I disagree with. The SCOTUS, over many decades, agrees with that position.
Anybody recall learning that the First Amendment ONLY allows for freedom of speech on behalf of things we agree with, feel comfortable with?
Take a deep breath and, late as it may be for some of you, or as anatomically impossible it may be for some of you, grow a pair and stand up for the rights that too many have died for, are dying for, to protect.
