SkinzWraps Expands the Vehicle Wrap Universe to Now Include Wrapping Buildings and Outdoor Surfaces That Were Previously Unwr...
SkinzWraps, Inc. (PINKSHEETS: SKZW), a founding father and recognized vanguard of the vehicle wrap industry, confirms that after months of R&D, testing and perfecting new techniques and manpower formals, they are now able to wrap building facades and other outdoor surfaces that were previously non practical to wrap. For this specific offering, SkinzWraps has partnered with 3M. 3M is the only material manufacturer that has made a base film that would meet the high-standards of SkinzWraps for this specific type of application.
The current method of building advertising is typically done through a "cladding process" where large banners are strung into fisheye anchors that have been pre-drilled into the perimeter of the building. While it requires no vehicle wrapping skills and uses relatively inexpensive materials (banner), the upfront expenses to prepare a building, which includes having an engineering firm pre-certify a given building for wind loads, then properly placing the anchors, are very costly. Additionally, older buildings will not qualify due to age, structural integrity, or historical status.
Under the direction of its CEO, the process being pioneered by SkinzWraps requires no engineering reports and no anchoring; it works on almost all building surfaces; age and historical status are non-issues. Equally important and by design, this pioneering process intentionally blends journeymen and traditional craftsman into the installation process. This blending is designed to allow SkinzWraps to quickly scale this offering without overtaxing its vehicle wrap business.
The size of the projects SkinzWraps will focus on will be on average 10X the size of an average vehicle wrap project; these projects will require a fraction of the skilled vehicle wrap labor force. These projects are estimated to be completed in the time it takes to wrap two vehicles. SkinzWraps will be charging a premium for the work, however when compared to the cost of "cladding a building" it will still be significantly less. A full documentary on our first 1800 sq. foot project can be found on our site at www.skinzwraps.com.
"The net effect of expanding our universe from vehicles to now include building and outdoor surfaces should be good for our bottom line and be very positive for our shareholders. That said, it is important for everyone (shareholders, clients, vendors, even me-too competitors) to always remember while SkinzWraps makes these ground breaking ideas look easy, they are not amid many factors they actually take a lot of think time," says CEO Peter Salaverry. He adds, "To answer in advance: What guided my thinking process while developing this new offering, I can say it is directly tied to growing up in and around NYC. During that span of time, Times Square went through an amazing visual transformation. This transformation had a direct positive effective, both visually and financially, for the city."
