Yeah sure they did. They probably try this with lots of accounts and some people don't notice until it's too late to get your money back.
They've ALWAYS had complaints like this against them. The thing is, I hate to move it to someone like Fidelity which is a big friend of shortsellers -- and which some people say does a lot of shorting for their own accounts.
