Even if they decided to go ahead and dribble out another 100M shares in order to pay for B-ABSSSI phase 3, Prurisol phase 3 and a Kevetrin 2B our market cap would be greatly increased due to valuation.
You can give away value as part of a deal or give it away in the form of dilution. We have to give a partner or new shareholders a cut of the pie to advance. As long as the pie grows tremendously as a result, it's not really dilution.
We paid ~$4 million for the B platform and after a successful trial it boosted our market cap $300M. Hopefully this time when we invest $30M in a phase 3 it will boost our market cap by $2B. Who cares if BP or new shareholders get a percentage of that? The diluted share price will still be 10x what it is today.
The IPIX team has the best view of which financing option is best. A deal will make us long time shareholders feel better in the shorter term. Going it alone may entail a little bit of short term pain but could be the better value. Leo and company will make the best decision.
