I understand the sentiment and can even empathize

It's already been admitted by the company about the missteps of the previous management.
The same folks that created that mistrust ......and have since been removed.
The fact that the company admitted that actually says something about the company I would think.
They could have kept shareholders in the dark about it, but they didn't.
The steps the company needed to take to recover from the mis-management were indeed painful to the shareholders (i.e the reverse split), but it also gave the company the opportunity to carry on without going bankrupt.
That would have been some pain.....
I also think there were outside influences doing their best to sink this company (and still are) by trying to short it into the ground.
IMO an opportunity has finally come about that puts NTEK in the right place at the right time with someone to give them the financial backing they need.
Again, IMO I think that NTEK is doing everything they can from a business standpoint not to screw it up and to protect themselves financially and legally.
..Even to the point of causing some shareholders pain by not delivering information that could be considered speculative or could put the company at risk from folks trying to interfere with it's operation...
Again..they're in this game to make money....just like we are.
