Naughty Girls Donut Shop — a pinup-inspired sweets shop founded two years ago by a mother-daughter team — hopes to sprinkle itself across the U.S., reports Northern Virginia Magazine.
Natalie and Tiana Ramos want to plant Naughty Girls’ first roots in Georgetown with a lineup of boozy “drunkin donuts, “ an interesting juxtaposition to TLC-approved Georgetown Cupcakes.
This spring, the brand was bought by entertainment company SNM Global Holdings and now has the resources to go national; new locations in Sterling, Virginia, Baltimore, Philadelphia, New York, Miami, Los Angeles, and Las Vegas are all in the works.
Before the purchase, its first crack at going the brick-and-mortar route failed; both the original Front Royal storefront and one in Potomac Mills shuttered. The company, which has made headlines for its provocative image, did not return a request for comment.
Naughty Girls’ latest expansion plan includes a bigger menu at full-service restaurants, serving doughnuts all ways. Think: Southern fried chicken with gravy on a doughnut, doughnut breakfast sandwiches, and raspberry molten lava and blood orange creme brulee donut flavors, the owner tells NoVa Mag.
And expect to actually get drunk on donuts, thanks to options like chunky monkey with bacon vodka and banana liqueur, and beer and wine doughnut flights.
