If I'm shorting a company (legal or not), I'll pick the ones with weak fundamentals and there are plenty out there. For example, most of us know NNVC is a scam. It's safe to bet against them because they won't have clinical trials for years and they'll keep diluting shareholders. It would make sense that there's a large short position in NNVC.
Assuming thousands of new shares are naked shorted daily in IPIX, why the shorts couldn't drive the SP down to 50 cents or lower with such low volume? Virtually unlimited supply of sells will drive any stock down for sure. If the legal shorts are stupid enough to bet against IPIX's science, I'm sure they'll learn their lessons soon.
