The next best-thing ? There has been mostly prove

There has been mostly proven to be nothing 'permanent' in the modern tech-world...technologies are relegated to obsolescence regularly. With that, the 'window of opportunity' becomes a prime directive in product commercialization...otherwise put as; 'you've got to get it while the gettins' good' . Here's an example of a conceivable disruptive tech that could up-end the entire display industry in a few years, if proven viable:
"Magic Leap's innovation isn't just a high-tech display--it's a disruption machine. This technology could affect every business that uses screens or computers and many that don't. It could kill the $120 billion market for flat-panel displays and shake the $1 trillion global consumer-electronics business to its core."
