I am back on the AIR !!!
The Eye I saw right over my house and it had a lot of birds flying around and was Blue above.. Eye center made the turn to 81 deg 5min W latitude and my front door is 81 deg 4 min West lat.
Everything south of me to Marco Island is much un-inhabitable or destroyed.
Amazing that Hurricane Donna took the same track on the very same day in 1960.
We tried to evacuate on Tuesday prior. No Gas, stations were empty. Only 2 interstates to take 95 on the East coast and 75 on the west. They turned into parking lots for the most part. No Hotels or motels available, started calling Monday all were booked to Tennessee. All the models kept forecasting it was going to the East.
I do not care to ride anoter out.
