It is a bit befuddling why spending an hour writing a shareholder letter every month to the people who have invested millions into your company is seemingly too hard a task for them. There are so many possibilities with original programming and the like but they never seem to convey enthusiasm or have the outside the box thinking to get out there and make a run at it.
I set up meetings last year with Nanotech and 1 super A class celeb and 1 Bplus celeb. I had the manager of the A class celeb, a MASSIVE pop star ready and waiting for the call which never came, and the B plus celeb, a world famous chef, whom I am friends with, waiting for the call which never came. When I confronted them on their, ahem, tardiness, they were like" we want to make sure we have a plan for them" or some bullshit like that. Well that was over a year ago, shoot maybe close to 2 now. Sure it may not have worked out, but to not contact a celebrity in the top 10 in the world( high top 10) to even make contact??? GRRRRR
So my frustration here is based on real life assessment of their ineptitude.
I don't think this is a scam, I think they are socially retarded and perhaps not at all in any way good businessmen. Undermanned, too. I seriously could handle bad news, reality, delays, etc., but the no communication thing is like Chinese water torture. And not the one where Chang won't bring you your precious H2O after some gnarly schechuan chicken. The kind that makes you feel unappreciated and ignored as an investor.
Not just the money, but the time and hope cost, and the lack of volleyed enthusiasm and synergy between investors and management is the problem here.
Still I have hope that somehow someone will buy us and make use of their technology and process. Or better yet that they prove me wrong because this holiday season is seriously their last chance to prove themselves that they can make a go.
