DALLAS, Sept. 14, 2017 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Rocky Mountain High Brands, Inc. (OTCQB:RMHB), a fully reporting consumer goods company specializing in hemp-infused food and beverage products and a naturally high alkaline spring water, announced the following Board changes.
Effective September 11, 2017, Gerry David and Kevin Harrington announced their resignations from RMHB’s Board of Directors. Mr. David and Mr. Harrington will each remain as Consultants to the Board of Directors under agreements to provide the Board guidance and direction.
Gerry David said, “I made a conscious decision to cut back on the number of Board commitments that I currently have. The Rocky Mountain High Board is very time consuming from an administrative and corporate governance standpoint. My time, and Kevin Harrington’s, is best spent in our area of expertise, which includes focusing on strategic, operational and marketing issues and leveraging our relationships for the benefit of the Company to help it grow. I have full faith and confidence in the strength of the Rocky Mountain High Brands Board and Management Team. I look forward to spending my time advising Michael Welch as we continue to execute the plan we laid out in our Investor Conference Call on August 24, 2017. My commitment to Rocky Mountain High Brands remains unchanged.”
Following the resignations of Mr. David and Mr. Harrington, the Board of Directors appointed the Company’s President and Chief Executive Officer, Michael Welch, and its Vice President and General Counsel, David Seeberger, to serve as members of its Board of Directors. In addition, Mr. Welch was appointed to serve as the Company’s new Chairman of the Board.
Board member, Charles Smith, stated, “I thank Gerry David and Kevin Harrington for their leadership, service and dedication to the Company, and I am delighted that we are freeing them up to focus on what they do best.
