I read your post over there before they removed it. It is/was relevant to all stocks imo. I'd love not to have to wait for funds to settle. And possibly even lower commissions.
It's not at all surprising that their would be job security battles to keep the middle men in action though.
When CTIX changed to IPIX I had a glimpse of hope that the stock would clean up a bit. It really didn't. Curious why my cash account says my shares are covered but my IRA says not covered. Irrelevant I'm sure. Having everything digital sounds very interesting. If hackers can do what they do now imagine what they could do if everything was digital. The "what if's" can get out of control. But I'm all for making things easier and faster as long as it's secure.
