Brilacidin in space? New study shows that bacteria are more antibiotic-resistant in space. They decrease in size and the cell wall gets thicker, so regular antibiotics aren't able to bond to their surface very well.
Now the question is: will Brilacidin's torpedo-like action, which explodes the cell walls, be effective in space? Will it be the ONLY type of drug that can safely kill off bacteria in, for instance, manned expeditions, space station, etc?
