When Messrs. Berman and Cox wrote the one letter in 2006, and hosted a conference call a year earlier, those were different times. The company was not in a lawsuit with J&J, the fourth lawsuit with J&J, over their products. The company was not fighting tooth and nail with Lifescan Franchise holders (big box pharmacy) who believe they will lose the ability to sell baby powder and shampoo if they buy DECN's products. Many people who post here believe that management is being sinister, covering up things, hiding and lying to shareholders. In reality, management is on a short chain and kept there by their lawyers. When you poke the bear this is what happens. The company is in a high risk, high reward mode. In many ways after a similar career, I am jealous.
