As you probably already know Trio Resources already has reports out estimating $7-BILLION worth of silver and cobalt to be retrieved from the mine. We all know the price of silver has been on the up but recently heard a report about cobalt also going up in dollar value as it has a variety of uses from health and nutrition to industrial.
Cobalt is a metal, discovered in 1739 and obtained through mining silver, nickel, lead, copper and iron. It's used for alloys, batteries, catalysis, pigments and coloring, radioactive isotopes (treat cancer), tracer in medical testing, dietary minerals, essential part of vitamin B12, nutrient for bacteria, electroplating (prevents rusting), sterilization of equipment and food, orthopedic implants, and so much more.
The U.S. government considers cobalt to be a strategic metal because its absence in a national emergency would affect the economic, industrial and defensive capabilities of the country. Most of it in the U.S. is imported (Africa).
Oops... got carried away here but anyway, I've been waiting for Trio to do this and can't wait until I can get some ALIE...
