A federal judge strikes down an Obama-era rule on overtime pay.
The Texas judge ruled against the rule Thursday, which would have extended mandatory overtime pay to more than four million U.S. workers.
This after 21 states challenged the overtime changes.
The judge says the agency improperly looked at salaries instead of job descriptions when determining whether a worker should be eligible for overtime.
Industry groups celebrated the ruling, saying the Obama administration overstepped its authority.
President Trump previously voiced opposition to the former president’s changes, saying his administration is deciding whether to impose a new wage threshold for overtime.
