I can remember stopping at a taco joint just outside of Durham NC in the 1990's. At the register I asked the young girl for a couple of hard shell tacos. A funny look came over her face and after a pause she said, "A couple? Isn't that two?"

HS kids today can just look up things like couple on their smart phones.
