The thing about waiting for confirmation of the data is that you'll pay substantially more for the stock than what you can buy it for today, and perhaps more than it sold for at its 52 week high.
Roughly a year ago I recommended IMGN to people when it was seeing lows not seen in about a decade or more. It was there because IMGN853 was determined to need a full fledged Phase 3 Trial, rather than being approvable out of a registrational Phase 2. People questioned that IMGN had the funding to get the job done. I purchased more when it reached $3 and still more at $2 before it bottomed out at $1.51. I knew of the companies plan to monetize certain drugs in the pipeline in various ways, and yesterday they probably put the cap on moves they're making, for at least awhile with a partnership with JAZZ. Anyone following my lead should have somewhere between a 3 banger and a nearly 9 banger depending on the price they invested at. I believe the price has a long way to go from where it currently is. Leerink just set a new target of $18, and I believe that's very possible a year from now, or sooner.
I believe on a percentage basis the potential is greater here. I'm not suggesting $18 a year from now, but a billion dollar market cap would represent over 20 times where we are today, even if they dilute substantially. I believe if the cream, and perhaps the sublingual tablets are being marketed anywhere in the world that a market cap of a billion or more is very possible. If the news is even better, and product is being market in many countries around the world, the market cap could be dramatically higher. If however no market yet exists, but Pivotal Trials are underway, and data to date supports approval in time, I still believe a half billion market cap is justified, i.e. over a ten banger from where we are today.
I believe that many here know that the cream and sublingual tablet could be marketed legally in many places under the general label of being a nutraceutical or cosmetic. While the company speaks clearly about creating drugs, I'm uncertain if they'd be satisfied with less than full govt. approval in some countries, or if they could actually achieve it in months, rather than years, or even decades as our FDA might require.
