Past rumor of a merger with Dr. pepper didn't happen. They go into these talks for merger with the best intentions and may times they fall apart. It happens many times. A Dr Pepper merger would have been great. When you have an attractive candidate for a merger I have no doubt sooner or later it will happen. Soda sales for the big three have fallen off and they are looking to diversify to keep earnings up. This is an on going battle.The post about Celsius and Rocky Mountain was just a possibility. It may not ever happen but we have to wait and see.
The usual reason for the merger is the need for massive funding to expand the business. Because Celsius is on the NASDAQ and now exposed to funding by banks, funds etc. because of the audited reporting.
