Well that is a typical ridiculous basher bunch of BS, as we all know.
They're not releasing the interim data now because they're waiting for the results to be in. Just because some basher puts an artificial deadline doesn't mean that the company needs to follow it.
As far as the extra 10 enrollees in the study -- this is only a guess because NONE of us have inside information -- but my GUESS would be that when they added all those extra clinical trial sites, they all went out and recruited people, and they recruited more than they needed because none of the sites knew what the others were doing.
This is good because if someone has to drop out of the study we'll still have plenty of other people in it to have the full complement of participants. Kind of like having alternate jurors in case one of them gets in a car accident or has a heart attack. The jurors, I mean, not the clinical trial participants
And of course, the fact that the company added extra clinical trial sites means that they were trying to get the study finished ASAP, which no company would do if they weren't feeling good about the possibility of success. Just look at NNVC, in business far longer than IPIX, and NNVC still doesn't have a single clinical trial going.
