Without such information in the quarterly, I believe the company should do something like other companies do, often referred to as a Science Day, or something like that. In essence it's a webcast in which they report on the products the company is developing, and analysts are permitted to call in questions. Most companies do webcasts with the release of their quarterlies, the Science Day is longer and a more intense presentation of the science. In that we've had no quarterly webcast, announcing a Science Day could easily be a presentation with Q&A that took no more than an hours time. The company might wait to do something like this until their was some positive news to discuss, like the completion of the Phase 1 Safety Trial, but not if such a delay would put of the presentation more than a few weeks.
I can fully understand that trials often take longer than anticipated, but I cannot understand why the company couldn't have said something like, as of today, the trial is fully subscribed and is expected to complete by XX-XX if that is truly the case. The point is, tell us something, don't treat us like mushrooms by keeping us in the dark and covered with sh-t.
