Shady, you might not have seen this. I am well on my way of putting my diabetes in remission by a diet change. I am guess 4 months ago I saw the video below and thought "Bingo". Since then I have lost 14 pounds and reduced my diabetes medication by 80%.. I basically omitted all processed foods, sugar, grains, beans, and potatoes. Those are all high carb foods that spike our insulin levels. High insulin levels is why we need mediation. And high insulin levels makes us hungry. So we eat more carbs. I seldom feel hungry anymore. I eat fresh fruits and veggies, meat , eggs, a lot of salads, quinoa, I'd probably be off meds, but eat too many nuts. Nuts a low carb, but have a lot calories.
