Couple of questions I would have thought that

I would have thought that most drugs enter the bloodstream and course to all parts of the body, yet our Brilacidin for GI tract must me developed so that the drug is delivered to the exact spot in the GI tract where it will do the most good - I understand this will maximize the effects for each specific problem along the GI tract - but wouldn't one think it would also work somewhat on all conditions throughout the GI tract?
How about Prurisol, said to be able to work against a large number of dermatology problems, does it need to be a cream to go right to the problem area (such as exczema/acne) or would the pill form working against Psoriasis also help these other dermatology-related problems?
Finally, once we get a product (say B-OM)OK'd by the FDA, do all further trials for further indications or in conjunction with other drugs start from scratch or do they go right to Phase II or some speed avenue so that the trials go extremely fast compared to the original ones for B-OM? If it is used in conjunction w/ another drug, does that cause trials to have to start all over again should the combo drug not be an accepted drug yet?
Guess my overall point was the possibility of a very high strength general purpose pill for each drug that could work on more than one indication. All this is just brainstorming as to questions from a non-med mind.
