Some interesting reading from AVXL ihub board,
Fletch

So how come no one saw that the good doctor purchased 750 shares today at $3.55. Is this another sign like he did a few years ago.

The form 4 was released at 4:36 PM today just a short time ago.

Dr Missling bought shares! That is great!

I called IR and specifically suggested that a purchase now would be a good confidence builder for shareholders...and a couple days later, there it is.

So folks, you have some proof that management listens, and cares about shareholders (as they should since the good doctor is the largest shareholder in the company). Let's hope as the good doctor scrapes up the pennies in his piggybank, that he can make another purchase next week or so.

Let's hope the BOD buy a few also, they probably have more spare change than Dr Missling.

Well done! Upward!

750 shares purchased doesn't show much resolve. ALSO it means they are NOT in any kind of quiet period.

For any "newbies" here who haven't read the article (or anyone losing faith in the co.) --please google "Pauline Stevens piano player" and be amazed what Anavex 2-73 is capable of---from the article
PATIENTS have woken up from some of the most devastating impacts of Alzheimer’s disease, regaining the ability to play sport, paint and enjoy time with family, after a world-first drug trial in Melbourne.

The remarkable results have fuelled hopes among doctors of the first major improvement in treating the horror disease since the 1990s.

Pianist Pauline Stevens has regained the ability to play the piano after being placed on the experimental Anavex 2-73 drug trial at Caulfield Hospital

However, with this purchase, does this mean that we are not in a quite period we they are restricted from buying shares ?

If the "quiet period" is due to ongoing FDA or corporate discussions it would not keep him from buying. It is simply a signal that things are going forward, he has confidence, and has not forgotten the shareholders.

Anything other than a token amount might later be looked on as possible insider trading.

Shorty panicking over Missling's share buy. Delicious. So many posts so fast by shorts. I can taste their fear. The overdid it in an illiquid stock, now they are worried that they wont have months to cover like they thought.

Better cover now before the trials start. Company is on track and executing, dramatic share price rise ahead.
