One of the strong attributes going for IPIX is that Dr Menon has a solid background in having developed a couple of drugs for cancer that were sold to Eli Lilly and were solid performers.
When he was developing Kevetrin, one of his supporters/collaborators was Dr Emil Frei, a recognized leader in cancer research and who many consider the 'Father of Chemotherapy'.
Not positive, but I seem to remember that Dr Frei was the one that compared Kevetrin to cancer as salt and sugar were to cooking; they combine with everything to make all other products better. That is why I believe K has such potential for such a broad range of cancers. It isn't going to do it alone, but it is going to be part of a cocktail to be able to knock out many cancers along with other potent drugs.
Now that Dr. Sonis is onboard as a scientific adviser to IXIP regarding Brilacidin and the fact that he is considered one of the icons of the doctors most knowledgeable regarding the GI tract, I see a lot of similarity between the pathway to commercialization for B as I did previously for K.
Dr. M seems to be a genius at coming up with new ideas, then surrounding himself with experts to help usher along those products to maximum potential and ultimate commercialization.
The above is why I scoff at those that try and portray IPIX as a Mom and Pop shop playing out of it's league in drug development. You don't rub noses with the greats of the field unless you have something pretty disruptive for them to sink their teeth into.
Go IPIX!!!
