Coincidental Mention of this Board on the one time I log in for
Post# of 2009
Anyway, this is what I posted. I am reasonably sure that post has a life expetancy of less than five minutes. I purposely didn't say anything specifically negative but we know how that goes.
Amazing timing that I did a check-in today.
In all honesty, I know most of us quit posting on the board we created because we were finally accepting of what we felt were the facts. The board was created was only because Meow's Musings was taken over by PowerPuncher though a pretty entertaining series of events. In that, we lost the sounding board we had for our frustrations. We were unable to voice those frustrations on this board, and we accepted that.
To understand why that board existed is important to understand why it doesn't have any posts anymore. I, and many of my co-posters/mods, were completely on board with NTEK. We never were bashing, we were frustrated investors who felt we were not being given all the information. It wasn't always that way at all. In the beginning I was sure I had made the best investment anyone could have ever made. I completely believed in the product. I used to argue constantly with the iHub bashers prior to the iHangout board because I truly believed they were trying their best to devalue the stock.
I stayed an NTEK cheerleader on iHangout until I started to get suspicious, immediately after the infamous "supertweet." If you've been around for a while, you'll remember that. After that, it got harder and harder to believe they had our best interest at heart. Maybe they still do: we'll never know that one way or the other unless something drastically changes. My final proverbial straw was the reverse-split. To me I felt that was the beginning of the end for my investment. Purely my own opinion, but that's where I gave up, and shortly after that I stopped posting on my own board. I still came back on occasion hoping that something blew up and we were suddenly rolling in money. I'm still waiting for that experience.
In a way, you're right. The Shack was a failed board because we all gave up. As hard as it was to believe, we all felt our investment was a loss. I hope for all of your sake that it turns around. Heck, I hope it for me as well. I still have all my shares. I never sold a single one, and I continue to hold what I've always had, though for obvious reasons, the total shares are significantly reduced. I truly hope you guys are all correct and something comes of this.
I hope this post stays up. I specifically avoided saying anything terribly negative because that's not the purpose of this post. It's to clarify why that board existed and why it is basically dead. Hopefully it follows the terms, but I'll post it on my board as well. It could use a little love.
Many of you all are incredibly brilliant at investing. I am not. NTEK was one of my first investments I ever did, so I guess it was harder for me to cut my losses and move on. There are a lot of people on this board that I truly respect and I hope all of you end up getting the payout you hoped out of this investment. Good luck to all of you in your investment.
For those TL/DRs, basically you're right. The board we created is dead and we have all basically given up. I hope you guys really are able to get your profit from your investment. I hope that for all of us.
