The main problem with the product being sold in retail is that most people have insurance and insurance can cover up to 3 tests a day. So if your copay is only $5.00, $10.00 or $20.00 for 90 test strips most people will continue to use insurance and the name brand.
If that is the case for One Touch and DECN hasn't made any progress denting the sales, it will be the same for all other manufacturers for the near future at least.
