Regulus Announces Completion of Public Offering of Common Stock and Exercise in Full of Underwriters' Option to Purchase Additional Shares
LA JOLLA, Calif., July 25, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Regulus Therapeutics Inc. (RGLS), a biopharmaceutical company developing innovative medicines targeting microRNAs, today announced the completion of its previously announced underwritten public offering of 50,600,000 shares of its common stock, including 6,600,000 shares sold pursuant to the full exercise of an option previously granted to the underwriters. All of the shares were sold at a price to the public of $0.91 per share. Including the option exercise, the aggregate net proceeds to Regulus from the offering are expected to be approximately $43.0 million, after deducting the underwriting discounts and commissions and other estimated offering expenses payable by Regulus. Regulus intends to use the net proceeds from the offering to fund clinical development of its clinical candidates, RG-012 and RGLS4326, development of its earlier microRNA development candidates and programs, for the identification and validation of additional microRNA targets, and for capital expenditures, working capital and general corporate purposes.
