Parents of Teen Girl Killed by MS-13 Speak Out

The parents of 16-year-old Kayla Cuevas spoke out against their daughter's killers, the transnational gang MS-13.

This is "kids killing kids," Kayla's mother, Evelyn Rodriguez told "Fox & Friends" Saturday. There must be zero tolerance for this type of behavior, she said.

Kayla was bullied by gang members at her school in Long Island until her mother pulled her out and homeschooled her. The teens called her names gave hand signs, "just being bad people," her mother said. One night walking home, Kayla and her friend Nisa Mickens, 15, were hacked to death by the gang.

"She tried to walk away from it plenty of times but to some extent she had to stand her ground in school," Rodriguez said. Kayla was comfortable at home, but "the minute she used to touch that school ground it was just seeing another person."

President Trump spoke in Long Island yesterday and said the administration had one message for the illegal immigrant MS-13 members, most of whom are from El Salvador: they will be found, arrested, jailed, and deported.

Kayla's father Freddy Cuevas said the president "absolutely" said what he needed to say to get his tough message across.

He remembered his daughter as a "vibrant girl ... with a good head on her shoulders" and an "ambition to know where she was going to go in life"

Kayla wanted a career in special forces, her parents shared.
