It was nice to see that Congress won't back Sessio

If we would ever like to see the U.S. become a leader in the development of cannabis based drugs, legislation legalizing it's use, and the FDA's authority to approve trials being done with it in the U.S. are needed. If such actions were taken, as I see it, State's would have the rights to approve, or disapprove the use of cannabis in the forms it's currently sold in stores in state's where it's legal, but they could not stop the sales of Drugs which have full FDA approval.
I believe that their is no doubt that cannabis has benefits in certain medical conditions, but with the band aids Congress is applying, they can only use it in State's where it's legal. I believe that within the VA their is a solid recognition that cannabis benefits PTSD more than currently approved medications, and does so for less money. Our sublingual tablet can almost certainly do the job without the objections of smoking it, which may effect others not wishing to breathe in the smoke. Congressional action is needed to make this legal everywhere, not in only State's where it's legal, or even in V.A. facilities everywhere, but not outside of them. Our soldier's deserve better treatment than our laws are currently permitting.
