due to decline in usa carriers congress passed a law requiring a minimum of 11 carriers- we only had 10 til the USS Ford was just officially commissioned after completing trials and dealing w problems w new tech
china wants to rule the world and is rapidly building military including building aircraft carriers themselves-only recently commissioned its first -an old one purchased from russia
russia apparently only has 1 working dilapidated carrier
what will the world look like when the us navy is no longer more powerful than all the worlds navies combined- down from 600 ships under reagan to under 350 ships now
usa ww2 aircraft etc were not more sophisticated than the germans but detroit was pumping out a fighter plane and a tank etc every hour-something germany could not compete with
would the younger "me me me" generation be willing to make such domestic sacrifices when they have rejected and have been destroying the freedoms our fathers fought for? and ask yourself why.
