Iberia Foods Adopts ReposiTrak® Food Safety Compliance Management Solution

SALT LAKE CITY, July 26, 2017 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Park City Group’s ReposiTrak , Inc., the leading provider of Compliance Management and Track & Trace solutions for food, pharma and dietary supplement safety, announces today Iberia Foods is deploying ReposiTrak’s Compliance Management System to manage records from their upstream suppliers. Iberia Foods, based in New York and originally called Joseph Victori & Company, began selling olives in the 1930s. Today, Iberia Foods has expanded its product portfolio to service Hispanic and Caribbean consumers by importing the tastes of home. Acquired by Brooklyn Bottling Group (BBG) in 2004, Iberia branded products now complement Iberia/BBC group’s broad imported beverage portfolio that is distributed to more than 10,000 supermarkets, club stores, wholesalers and distributors.

“We were looking for a cost effective solution that would automate the management of our supplier records and ensure Iberia can comply with FSMA’s Foreign Supplier Verification Program requirements,” said Elvin Santiago, Purchasing Director of Iberia Foods. “After reviewing a broad range of food safety platforms, our compliance team unanimously concluded that ReposiTrak was the ideal solution as it was both cost-effective and easy to use.”

“We are happy to provide suppliers such as Iberia Foods with an affordable platform to manage their approved supplier documentation and help them transition from manual record-keeping systems,” said Randall K. Fields, Chairman and CEO of Park City Group. “We share Iberia’s commitment to transparency in the supply chain, and are proud to have them utilize our system.”

ReposiTrak, a wholly owned subsidiary of Park City Group (NASDAQ: PCYG ), helps manage regulatory, financial and brand risk associated with issues of safety in the global food, pharma and dietary supply chains. Powered by Park City Group’s technology, the platform consists of two systems: Compliance Management , which not only receives, stores and shares documentation, but also manages compliance through dashboards and alerts for missing or expired documents; and Track & Trace , which quickly identifies product ingredients and their supply chain path in the unfortunate event of a product recall. It can reduce the risk in the supply chain by identifying backward chaining sources and forward chaining recipients of products in near real time.
