At .18 levels it really got hit hard from .25 to .30 levels. But then again ALL cryptos crashed because of this Segwit thing with Bitcoin. Segwit is a consortium of Bitcoin developers that are coming to a fork. some want the blockchain to be enhanced because it is way too slow and becoming bogged down. theories said that bitcoin would split. They cant agree on whether bitcoin is currency or a store of value like gold. i just read however, that they came to an agreement to leave it alone. BTC and ethereum are going to continue to have these problems. Its so decentralized yet a huge majority of miners are in China. They could take over easily with a majority. Ripple on the other hand trusts its validation through professional institutions like Microsoft, MIT, a group in Japan, and others. they have 70 validators already. this kind of take over cannot happen with XRP. Validators are like nodes that confirm a transaction. BTC/ETH rely on miners working from their basements to confirm a transaction to earn some bitcoin. Ethereum will run into problems with the whole Initial Coin offerings. People are going to lose fortunes on these worthless ICOs. Remember, Ripple is engineering the Internet of Value (IoV). its in a different ball game all together.
