Personally, before they made the announcement on the lease for the 767, I was hoping they would leverage the old 747 to get a new 747-8, as Boeing was willing to cut deals with anyone that owned an older 747 because they were having a hard time selling them. IMO, maybe the 767 was still the plan because they were persuing both ways to operation (acquisition and certification). Since they are persuing the acquisition, hopefully they will switch to the newer plane. Charters would be a great way to start earning some cash flow initially, being they have the assets to do so, means less money they will have to raise for operations and more for investment in growing the company. As that article I posted before said that songbird was seeing more people wanting charters. Who knows, if they do use the 767 or the 747 cargo might be on the table as another revenue source in addition to chartering.

IMO, you are absolutely right, airline is an older industry in which both people and businesses expect a certain level of quality and service when flying an airline, just because we had a plane doesn't mean people would board. The only thing I have to say is Igor did have a market advantage with the JFK St Petersburg route that cut travel time by 2 hours of any airline and 3 year exclusive right. USGlobal needs to have at minimum the same quality of service as the other airlines to at least get their foot in the door.

I feel the same way regarding letting USGlobal do what they need to do to get going. I trust their experience, instincts and judgement and want them to do what is necessary to get this in the air. IMO, they are not going to have trouble raising funds being Tony is from that world (VP at Morgan Stanley) and they have Felix on board.
