No you didn't, you presented the opinions of some astronomers and some physicists. If the matter were resolved as decisively as you argue there would have been 'breaking news' about it. There hasn't been.
I didn't claim you presented you 'personal faith', I simply stated that it is a 'leap of faith' to believe as you've stated.
I made no value judgment on the BELIEF, other than to rightfully distinguish it from scientific fact.
Nope, our GOVERNING document is the constitution and not the Declaration of Independence. The Founders were very careful and very specific, mindful of the bloody history of religious wars in Europe, to untether the power of government from religion.
It's right there in the very first amendment. It's called the establishment clause. Hint, we didn't/don't want any religion backed by the power of government.
God is nowhere mentioned in the document.
Uh, uh, I reject Manichean views that declare everything to be either black or white. Rejecting your religious zealotry does not make me an adversary, it makes me sane.
